New Novella

On May 23, 2014, Elliot Rodger killed 6 people and injured 14 people in Isla Vista, California. Rodger posted a manifesto online before his crime spree. In that manifesto, Rodger argued that he was a "supreme gentlemen" and that women were wrong for failing to recognize that. So, Rodger argued he had to shoot some women. Don't read Rodger's manifesto. Read my summary of it instead!

My dissertation about incels and Elliot Rodger includes summaries of other true crimes such as the Columbine High School massacre that occurred in Littleton, Colorado in 1999 and a school shooting that occurred in Aztec, New Mexico in 2017.

As I wrote this novella, I was inspired by novels, short stories, and even pieces of music such as Catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger; Deviant by Harold Schechter; "Where are You Going, Where have You Been?" by Joyce Carol Oates; "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gillman; and "Jeremy" by Pearl Jam.
