Attorney James Frazier is an experienced lawyer and counsellor. Mr. Frazier successfully argues domestic relations matters in Colorado state courts; winning excellent results for his clients and their loved ones.
Mr. Frazier grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan where he received a bachelor of science in biopsychology and primatology from the University of Michigan. Mr. Frazier earned his J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado. In law school, James excelled in courses ranging from trial and motions advocacy to trademarks and antitrust. Mr. Frazier spent his summers working with the Washtenaw County Public Defender in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Working on "both sides of the aisle" gave Mr. Frazier valuable insights into our criminal justice system. Mr. Frazier also learned how state court judges assess and analyze cases. After being admitted to the Colorado state bar, Mr. Frazier clerked in Arapahoe and Jefferson county district courts. Clerking gave James experience with cases involving murder; sex assault; high-value theft; and other felonies. Indeed, one of Mr. Frazier's cases received moderate coverage in local media including the Denver Westword and Denver Post. That case involved charges of first degree murder and arson. Following his clerkships, Mr. Frazier opened his own practice, Frazier Legal, LLC. Mr. Frazier feels privileged to dedicate his time and energy to representing Coloradans in matters involving divorce and allocation of parental responsibility. Additionally, Mr. Frazier is a person who is almost totally blind. During law school, Mr. Frazier advocated for people with disabilities by briefing the U.S. Copyright office, the FCC, and members of Congress about the need for increased access to e-books. Mr. Frazier continues to advocate for people with disabilities by working with local community organizations to improve quality of life for everyone in the State of Colorado.
